facebook - the blog killer?

I just realised that it has been a really long time since I last posted. Over two months which previous to the summer would have been unthinkable! So to all those who dip in every now and then - I guess an explanation might be helpful.

I blame it all on Facebook.

I was probably one of the most cynical about facebook's benefits until I joined in. But now I am finding it just as compulsive as everyone else. It is such an easy way to re-connect with people that you've fallen out of touch with, and keeping up wth friends and family all over the globe is now easier and fun. I do agree with it's critics that a large part of it is essentially a waste of time, but I myself have found it a great tool, and I pick and choose which things I sign up to, tailoring it to the way I want to use it.

I do wonder how many people will actually read this - it is more likely I'll hear from you on Facebook.

ah, but with a blog post like that you are inviting comments here ;)

I still love my blog. I wish someone would write an app that integrates it into facebook though, so that when I post a new blog post it appears as a clickable link from facebook. (there probably is one, but I haven't found it yet) I've sort of got it working with twitter as a go-between but twitter generates a tinyurl in my status which you can't actually click on. One for Robin to work on perhaps?!!

Well, you can publish your blog to Facebook as well. (Notes app and others probably...)

If you want blog killers try Twitter!

Nice to see you posting again :¬)

Twitter is definitely a blog killer - all my blogging friends started using it this year and no-one's been blogging as much. I found a wordpress to facebook plugin by the way, Robin - much nicer than notes :) There's probably a blogger one out there too ...
